Award Guidelines

PURPOSE OF THE AWARD
  • To honor outstanding individuals and organizations that exemplify excellence and innovation in arbitration, claims and dispute resolution, contract management, negotiation, mediation, and engineering expertise.
  • To recognize those who have made substantial contributions, fostering positive change and progress over time.
  • To celebrate individuals and organizations whose efforts have inspired, supported, and elevated the performance and achievements of others.

NOMINATION REVIEW, SELECTION, AND NOTIFICATION
  • The Judging Committee is responsible for managing the nomination, selection, and award process across the Individual, Association, and Organization categories.
  • After the nomination deadline, the Judging Committee will begin the review and selection process.
  • Incomplete nominations will not be considered.
  • One (1) winner per category will be selected to receive the award.
  • Eligible individuals and organizations demonstrating excellence and innovation in arbitration, claims and dispute resolution, contract management, negotiation, mediation, and engineering expertise may be nominated multiple times.
  • Nominees or projects must demonstrate national or international impact.
  • All nominations must be submitted online.
  • The Judging Committee will make the final decision and announce the award winners during the opening ceremony.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:

1. Individual Nominee Documentation
  • Nominee Information: Name, job title, contact details (address, phone, mobile, LinkedIn profile, email).
  • Project Overview (up to 2000 words):
  • Project name, summary, and outcomes.
  • Key data: cost, schedule performance, risk management, productivity, resource efficiency, contract type, claims, and variation from scope.
  • Photos (concept, construction, completion).
  • Stakeholder impact, including customer satisfaction.
  • Supporting Statement (500 words): Why the nominee deserves the award, highlighting achievements in expert witness roles and arbitration in engineering.
  • Resume/CV.
  • References: Three contacts familiar with the nominee’s work, with names, roles, and contact information.
  • Optional: Publications (books, articles) and committee work.

2. Organization Nominee Documentation
  • Organization Information: Organization name, main contact details, website, or LinkedIn profile.
  • Project Profile (up to 2000 words):
  • Project name, summary, and outcomes.
  • Key data: cost, schedule, risk management, productivity, contract type, and scope variations.
  • Photos (concept, construction, completion).
  • Stakeholder impact, including customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic Overview:
  • Vision, strategic plans, and key achievements in contracts and dispute management.
  • ROI, methodologies, and frameworks.
  • Supporting Statement (500 words): Why the organization deserves the award, emphasizing achievements in arbitration and contract management.
  • References: Three contacts familiar with the organization’s achievements.

3. Association Nominee Documentation
  • Association Information: Association name, main contact details, website, or LinkedIn profile.
  • Activity Summary:
  • Overview of activities (training, seminars, meetings) related to arbitration and ADR.
  • Key data: cases managed, dispute values, registered experts, and impact on ADR in the community.
  • Strategic Contributions:
  • Vision, strategic plans, and notable achievements in dispute resolution.
  • Supporting Statement (500 words): Why the association deserves the award, focusing on contributions to ADR and arbitration.
  • References: Three contacts familiar with the association’s work

AWARD FRAMEWORK

Award recipients shall receive:
  • An award trophy with an engraved plaque featuring the awardee’s name and award title.
  • An official award certificate.
  • Recognition during the opening ceremony.
  • An award badge for use on all stationery.
  • Extensive media coverage.

AWARDS SUBMISSION IMPORTANT DATES
• Nov 01, 2024, 9:00 AM: Awards submission site opens
• Jan 25, 2025, 5:00 PM: Awards submission site closes. 
• Feb 01, 2025, 9:00 AM: Judging & Evaluation of the Awards.
• Feb 19, 2025: Winners will be announced in Opening Ceremony.
